However, a lot of Chinese sellers tend to make garbage (My Misa Misa costume came from eBay, it was crap and I should have made it myself). A lot of people tend to buy from Chinese sellers because it's more inexpensive than commissioning an American seamstress to make the costume. Where you may spend $100 on a Chinese cosplay, you'd pay double that if buying from an American.
I have seen some decent costumes from Chinese eBay sellers though, and there's no harm in wearing something you didn't make so long as you don't enter any cosplay competitions and pretend that you made it yourself.
A lot of people tend to be elitists about the fact they have amazing costumes where they made everything from the dress to the shoes, and then rag on people for buying some aspects of their costumes. But as I heard one person respond to that sarcastically, "I know, some cosplayers don't even farm their own cotton.". Lol.
I've resolved that I will have certain cosplays comissioned and certain ones made. Sometimes it's actually cheaper to commission them, if the costume has lots of embellishments or something like that. I do however, have to make my Freya and Sakizou costumes because I can't imagine how one would go about shipping what would esentially be a 3.5' tall 4' wide (guesstimate) cage frame.
Anyways, onward to watch more Vampire Knight! I also would like to Cosplay Yuki Cross because it would take very little effort in regards to altering my appearance (I wouldn't even need a wig, just some fake bangs!)
